Incoming students are placed based on demonstrated readiness, not just grade level

A short placement assessment in Mathematics and English helps the academic team confirm the right course level for each new student. Placement can be adjusted after the first term if needed.

Grade-Level Curriculum Map

What students study at each stage of the program

The Concord curriculum is organized in three phases. Each phase has a distinct academic purpose: building foundations, developing advanced skills, and preparing for university-level performance.

Grades 7–8  ·  Middle School

Foundation: skills, habits, and academic discipline

Core instruction in English, Pre-Algebra through Algebra II, Life and Earth Sciences, World History, introductory World Language, and electives. Study skills, organization, and academic self-management are taught as explicit skills alongside content.

Grades 9–10  ·  Lower High School

Development: accelerated pacing and AP entry

Honors and introductory AP coursework begins. Students enter AP World History, AP Human Geography, AP Computer Science Principles, and Honors English. Math advances to Pre-Calculus; Sciences move into Chemistry and Biology with lab components.

Grades 11–12  ·  Upper High School

Mastery: full AP load and college application strategy

Students carry a full AP course load matched to their college goals, typically 4–7 AP courses per year. AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C, AP Literature, AP US History, AP Language, and elective APs. College counseling runs concurrently throughout both years.
